The Pioneer Career Center will be hosting a variety of workshops for all WBU students to aid in exploration of all careers, applying to professional schools and personal statements. Planning for your career

Students and alumni have free access to , an outstanding web-based career-planning service. The MyMajors mission is to proactively help students create a clear pathway to complete their degree. With The College Majors Assessment, MyMajors guides students and gives direction that aligns with their academic achievement, aptitude, work interests, and personal preferences. Students in the right major are more likely to enroll, persist, and graduate on time.

Resume and Cover Letters:

The Pioneer Career Center partners with ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓƵ's Multidisciplinary Tutorial Services for assistance with reviewing your resume and providing helpful feedback for current and former students. Appointments can be scheduled in person on the Plainview campus or via Zoom or phone. You may also find the following resources helpful:

  • on visually effective resumes
  • on creating strong resumes that pass computer filtration
  • Professional email skills

MOCK INTERVIEWS:

The Pioneer Career Center is happy to offer mock interviews for students or alumni who want to brush up on those skills and get the experience of a live interview with some honest but constructive feedback afterward. Those are available in person on the Plainview campus or via Zoom for alumni in any location. As online interviews are becoming more common, becoming comfortable in this new venue can be a great skill to obtain! Let us help you! Reach out to Jeffrey for an appointment!
