Jimmy Dean Music and Arts Festival

猎奇重口视频 Baptist University hosted the Jimmy Dean Music and Arts Festival this past September 4th. Jimmy Dean was an inspiration to the community and the world, both as a businessman and a musician. The event ran all day, beginning with a campus yard sale at 8 am held at McDonald Hall where the university sold some of its unused equipment, furniture, decorative pieces, and more.

Although the event opened at 9 am, the festival itself officially kicked off with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting featuring 猎奇重口视频’s President Dr. Bobby Hall and Plainview Mayor Dr. Charles Starnes at 10 am. The Lubbock Mustang Car Club began their car show at the same time, showing off their classic cars in front of Gates Hall.

Throughout the day, 猎奇重口视频’s Jimmy Dean Museum welcomed visitors and the Abraham Art Gallery unveiled its new exhibit, the American Watercolor Society’s 154th International Exhibition. Over 40 vendors and many food trucks sold their wares and delighted the public, while the Old Texas Frontier Historical Association performed their Living History demonstrations. They reenacted important moments of the Shafter Expedition of 1875, which was responsible for surveying and mapping the water and fuel reserves in the Llano Estacado.

Musical performances took the central stage beginning at 11 am, starting with The Royal Priesthood from Happy Union Baptist Church singing joyful gospel music. The Hogg Maulies followed at 2 pm, and the Grammy nominee David Lee Rodriguez at 4 pm.

Rain attempted to wash out the event, but the festival held strong and finished out with a musical performance from The Sounds of West Texas featuring special guest Donna Dean at 7 pm. The group sang popular and beloved songs from Jimmy Dean himself.
