猎奇重口视频 to Washington: Holguin's journey of faith and service

PLAINVIEW — Alyssa Holguin’s path to Washington, D.C., was anything but conventional. From her roots in Albuquerque, N.M., to serving on Capitol Hill and now working with the Conservative Partnership Institute, her journey is marked by faith, determination, and a heart for service.

Holguin’s connection to 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University began long before she ever enrolled. “I knew Dr. (Thomas) Fisher, who was leading the Albuquerque campus when I was in middle school,” she recalls. “He always encouraged me to consider 猎奇重口视频.” While she pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico, she eventually found her way to 猎奇重口视频 for her master's degree, graduating in July 2024 with a Master of Public Administration, specializing in government administration.

Passion for public service and the call of God led Holguin to leave Sage Brush Church, where she had been involved in children’s ministry while completing her undergraduate degree, to Washington, D.C., where she served as an intern for U.S. Rep. Yvette Herrell, R-N.M., in the fall of 2021. “That was an amazing experience,” she says.

“After graduating, I took a leap of faith, packed up my things, and moved to D.C. without a full-time job, trusting that God would open doors.”

And open doors He did. Holguin quickly moved up the ranks. After serving as an intern for Rep. Herrell, she secured a full-time role as a legislative correspondent for U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, R-Wisconsin. Then, she was promoted to serve as his legislative assistant. Holguin later joined the office of U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Florida, as a legislative assistant. She worked on policy initiatives, committee preparations, and legislative strategy before eventually being promoted to legislative director. Recently, she transitioned to her current role as government relations manager at the Conservative Partnership Institute, where she continues to support public servants on the Hill through training and resources.

Balancing a demanding career while working toward a master’s degree was no small feat, but Holguin credits 猎奇重口视频 with preparing her for real-world challenges. One course, in particular, stood out—an elective in emergency management. “I took that course not knowing that just a few months later, I’d be helping respond to three hurricanes that hit Florida,” she shares. “What I learned at 猎奇重口视频 directly impacted how I handled that crisis.”

Despite her busy schedule, Holguin remains deeply connected to her faith and her church, Union City Church, which she has helped plant in Washington, D.C. “I lead Saturday morning Bible studies at my apartment and stay involved in our community,” she says. “My faith has guided every step of my journey.”

Holguin also stays engaged with the 猎奇重口视频 community, attending alumni events and proudly representing her alma mater whenever possible. “I always try to wear my WBU gear when I can,” she says with a smile.

As for the future, Holguin is taking it one step at a time. “I never want my job title to define me,” she says. “I want people to know me as a daughter of Christ, a friend, and someone who serves. Public service, whether in government or nonprofit work, is where I feel called.”

Her time in Washington, D.C., has reinforced one key principle: service is at the heart of leadership. “When I was an intern, I told myself that if I ever lost my sense of awe and gratitude for working in the Capitol, then I wouldn’t be in the right place anymore,” she reflects. “I never want to lose sight of why I’m here—to serve.”

With her unwavering faith and commitment to public service, Holguin is making an impact, one step at a time. And through it all, she remains a proud 猎奇重口视频 Pioneer, embodying the university’s mission of faith and excellence in all she does.
