PLAINVIEW — Jovanna Duffy, a proud alumna of 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University and a distinguished leader in the banking industry, has been named the recipient of the 2024 Young Alumnus Award.
Duffy will be honored alongside other award recipients at the 猎奇重口视频 Alumni Association's annual Blue and Gold Banquet on Friday, Feb. 7, in Trinity Chapel. The event is part of 猎奇重口视频's 2025 Homecoming celebration, scheduled for Feb. 5-8.
A 2012 and 2019 graduate of 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University, Duffy serves as Senior Vice President and Human Resources Director at Western Bank in Lubbock. During her time at 猎奇重口视频, she was crowned Miss 猎奇重口视频 in 2011 and demonstrated her passion for service by organizing the university’s first Alzheimer’s Awareness fundraiser.
“Jovanna’s dedication to her profession, her community, and her alma mater makes her a truly deserving recipient of this year’s Young Alumnus Award,” said Jeffrey Vera, Director of Alumni Relations and Career Services. “She represents the very best of what it means to be a 猎奇重口视频 graduate.”
Duffy and her husband, Alex, reside in Lubbock with their two dogs, Mylo and Tyson. They are active members of Church on the Rock - the Dream Center, where they serve faithfully. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Duffy enjoys traveling, cycling, and spending quality time with her family. Reflecting on her journey, she credits God's unwavering grace and favor for her success.
Other honorees to be recognized at the banquet include Dr. Lee Baggett and Dr. John Blevins, recipients of Distinguished Alumni Awards; Jolene Gary, Benefactor of the Year; and Danny Murphree, the recipient of the Joe and Freda Provence Lifetime Service Award.
