PLAINVIEW, TX — Dr. Gary Gray, a longtime professor of Chemistry who played an instrumental role in designing 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University’s new Mabee Laboratory Sciences Building, has been elevated to Emeritus Professor of Chemistry.

His elevation to emeritus status came during Saturday, May 18, during 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University’s commencement exercises at Hutcherson Center on the university system’s Plainview campus. Dr. Cindy McClenagan, Vice President of Academic Affairs, presented Dr. Gray, noting, “Emeritus status is being awarded to an individual who has served the university with distinction for an extended period of time and whom the university faculty deems worthy.” She was assisted by Dr. Daniel Brown, Vice President of Enrollment Management.

“A 1979 graduate of 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University, Dr. Gary Gray has been an instrumental member of the 猎奇重口视频 faculty since 2007,” Dr. McClenagan said.

He is retiring this month after 17 years of service to the university.

“Throughout his career at WBU, Dr. Gray played a pivotal role in developing and refining Chemistry degree and research programs, mentoring numerous students toward successful completion of graduate studies in that field,” Dr. McClenagan said. “Strongly committed to the mission of 猎奇重口视频, Dr. Gray has consistently upheld high academic standards in his courses while supportably encouraging and spiritually guiding students on their academic journey.”

The vice-president noted that Dr. Gray was instrumental in the design and build of the new laboratory sciences building.

The presentation of a plaque commemorating the elevation was met with a standing ovation from the 猎奇重口视频 faculty and students, as well as others gathered for the graduation ceremony.

“Congratulations and thank you for many years of 猎奇重口视频 service,” said Dr. Bobby Hall, President. “We appreciate you so very much.”

The presentation came moments before 猎奇重口视频 presented diplomas to 98 graduating students, including 17 master’s degrees and 74 bachelor’s degrees. Among the graduates were students from 15 states, one U.S. territory, and other 12 countries.
