Wigner returns as fulltime assistant professor

PLAINVIEW — Dr. Daniel E. “Dann” Wigner has returned to 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University as an Assistant Professor of English in the School of Languages and Literature.

The announcement of Dr. Wigner’s return to the university on a fulltime basis was made by Dr. Cindy McClenagan, Vice President of Academic Affairs, in association with Dr. Kimberlee Mendoza, Dean of the School of Languages and Literature.

“Dann is no stranger to WBU,” Dr. Mendoza said. “We’re excited to have him join the L&L family fulltime this spring as an Assistant Professor of English.”

Dr. Wigner comes to 猎奇重口视频 from All Saints Episcopal School in Lubbock, but he has served as an adjunct professor at 猎奇重口视频 since 2007. He also served as Assistant Professor of Academic Achievement at 猎奇重口视频 during the 2012-2013 school year.

The return to 猎奇重口视频 is a homecoming of sorts for Dr. Wigner, who was recognized by the university as the Highest-Ranking Senior in 2003 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Religion. He went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Religion with a specialization in Theology at 猎奇重口视频 in 2006. Wigner earned a Master of Science degree in Library Science in 2008 at University of North Texas before earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Theology in 2015 at the University of Durham.

In addition to his work at 猎奇重口视频 and All Saints Episcopal School, Dr. Wigner has served as an instruction and information literacy librarian at University of the South, as well as an adjunct professor at Middle Tennessee State University and South Plains College. He is the author of numerous books, articles, and reviews. Dr. Wigner has served as a conversational English tutor for the Hale County Literacy Council.
