Enactus Continues ‘Go Green’ Initiative

The ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓƵ Baptist University chapter of Enactus continues its Go Green initiative by placing touchless water fountains on campus and around town. Most recently, a grant from Walmart #927 helped fund a new water fountain installed at the Plainview YMCA.

The new water fountain features a station where people can fill water bottles without contacting the machine. The stations are meant to help limit the use of plastic water bottles and are a response to safety concerns about the spread of COVID-19 and other germs.

This is the fourth water fountain the Enactus group has been able to install. The other three are located on the ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓƵ campus in the Nunn Business Building, McClung University Center and Pete and Nelda Laney Student Activity Center.

Enactus is open to all students with an entrepreneurial spirit. It is an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that promote progress for their communities.
