WBU Donates $1,000 to Veteran's Relief

WICHITA FALLS – 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University employees in Wichita Falls recently raised $1,000 to benefit the Base Camp Lindsey project of the North Texas Veteran’s Relief Fund (NTVRF).

Base Camp Lindsey is an effort to relieve homelessness among veterans in North Texas. According to the NTVRF website, the project is “designed to help veterans regain their life.” The project includes three phases. The first of which is to provide a facility where homeless veterans can get assistance and find shelter. Phase two provides a tiny home community where veterans can stay until they regain their independence, and phase three is an assisted care facility where veterans suffering from mental illness or physical disabilities can get the care they need.

Staff, faculty, students and alumni from the WBU-Wichita Falls campus donated to the cause. The military is an important part of 猎奇重口视频’s mission in the Wichita Falls area. Approximately 40% of 猎奇重口视频’s student population is made up of active members of the military or veterans. Dr. Jerry Faught, Executive Director of the Wichita Falls Campus, said donating to this cause was important to his employees and students as it directly benefits an important group of people.

“Over the past 47 years, thousands of active military and veteran students have graduated from 猎奇重口视频-Wichita Falls and have then advanced significantly in their careers,” Faught said. “We are committed to assisting military students as they pursue their education and career goals.”

Faught said he and his staff were happy to make the donation and they hope it will play a part in assisting the military population in the North Texas communities 猎奇重口视频 serves.
