Bullion Addresses WBU Students in Chapel

PLAINVIEW – Clayton Bullion, who is the Evangelism Discipleship and Multiplication Catalyst for the Texas Baptists Collegiate Ministry, addressed 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University students during chapel service on Wednesday, challenging them to invest time and effort in their relationship with God.

Bullion said too often college students are overly concerned or wrapped up in satisfying their parents, making the grade, meeting social media expectations, or their own sexuality to really ever be satisfied with who they are. He compared people with these ideals and unrealistic expectations to tumbleweeds that dry out and blow away when things get tough.

“Tumbleweed students are easy to spot,” he said. “They put their trust in themselves, they reflect the environment around them, then they wither and don’t stick.”

Instead, drawing from Jeremiah 17, Bullion said people should put their trust in the Lord and become like a tree planted by the water with a root system that feeds it and keeps it strong even in times of heat and drought.

“What do you want your impact to be? When we put our roots in Jesus, we are satisfied. We provide shade and we never cease to bear fruit,” he said.

Bullion said it’s the same principle as athletes who have to put in practice time in order to perform, or students studying for an exam. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be successful. He quoted Galatians 6:7 stating that “…whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”

“What you put into it is what you get out of it,” he said. “It’s the same with spiritual work.”

Bullion closed by challenging Christians to continue to invest in their relationship with Christ and “not forsake the one who satisfies.”
